Palm Beach School Districts – Boca Raton Area Schools

Palm Beach County is served by the School District of Palm Beach County, alongside private, charter and faith-based schools, and some high schools offer dual enrollment for college credit. School assignment follows the property address and boundaries are redrawn periodically, so confirm the current assignment for any specific property with the district. We do not rate schools or advise on them.

Boca Raton is home to a few private schools, including faith-based schools, prep schools, and specialized schools for arts, theater, technology, and more. Some high schools in Boca Raton even offer duel enrollment at any of the colleges or universities in the area.

The Palm Beach School Board employs over 21,718 teachers, principals, and school administrators. These employees are responsible for the top-notch education that many children in Palm Beach County receive.  The Palm Beach School District is an “A” district and is the 11^th largest school district in the nation.

The Palm Beach County Government employs over 11,381 people. Job opportunities are available on a regular basis throughout the many services that are available to residents in Palm Beach Florida.  There is a large variety of positions available across many different departments making the Palm Beach County government a great employer for the residents of Boca Raton.

Tenet Healthcare Corp. employs approximately 5,127 people through providing hospitals and health care facilities with health screenings, sponsor charity events and provide essential health care services.  Good Samaritan, Pinecrest Rehab, and West Boca Medical Center are a few of the area hospitals and health care facilities that Tenet Healthcare provides services to.

HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) is a leading health care provider and employs over 4,150 healthcare workers throughout Palm Beach County. HCA provides support to caregivers, ensures safety and continues to be up to date with technology to continually add services where needed.

Florida Power & Light is the largest electric utility in the State of Florida. FPL is a one of the larger employers in the State of Florida. Florida Power and Light’s headquarters is located in Juno Florida and employs 3,658 people.

Wackenhut Corporation (also known as G4S Technology LLC) provides security services throughout the United States. G4S Technology LLC is in the top 20 of a recent annual ranking of the nation’s top 100 security systems integrators, sponsored by SDM Magazine. Wackenhut Corporation in Palm Beach Gardens employs 3,000 people.

Florida Atlantic University serves over 28,000 undergraduate and graduate students.  FAU campuses are found all along the Southeast Coast and the university employs over 4,000 full and part time employees. The main FAU campus is located right here in Boca Raton.

Bethesda Memorial Hospital employs over 2,300 people in Boynton Beach, Florida. This Palm Beach Hospital provides many services and offers a wide variety of healthcare services and departments including Bethesda Center for Women and Children, Bethesda Children’s Center, Bethesda Children’s Emergency Department, and Bethesda Center for Pediatric Development.
