Lantana and Lake Worth Beach Market View: Houses and Condominiums, July 2026
Direct answer. Lantana and Lake Worth Beach are two of the last places on Palm Beach County's coast where the median house sells under $600,000 and the median condominium sells under $350,000, and both towns are absorbing a visible amount of new construction. In July 2026, houses sold in a median of 24 days in Lake Worth Beach and 14 days in Lantana, while condominiums in both towns took two to three months. Anyone deciding here should look at the two categories separately, because they are moving in opposite directions.

Fewer than five sales in a category and month means a count and no median: Lantana condominiums had only three July 2025 sales, so there is no year-over-year July median for that category.

The one line to take from the tables: houses in both towns are a four-month market and condominiums in Lake Worth Beach are a fourteen-month market. Averaging them together would produce a number that describes nothing you can buy or sell.
What the two towns actually are
Lake Worth Beach (population about 42,000) has a pre-war downtown along Lake Avenue and Lucerne Avenue, the Lake Worth Playhouse, the casino building and municipal beach, a golf course on the Intracoastal Waterway, and a housing stock heavy on 1920s to 1950s cottages and bungalows plus a large body of 1960s to 1980s low-rise condominium buildings. The city renamed itself from Lake Worth to Lake Worth Beach in 2019, which is why listings, portals and even MLS entries still mix the two names. "Lake Worth" now also refers to the unincorporated area west of the city and to the Lake Worth Lagoon.
Lantana (population about 12,000) sits directly south: a former fishing village with its own public beach, marinas, the Old Key Lime House on the water, and a mix of mid-century ranches, waterfront pockets and newer townhouse infill. It shares the barrier island with the Hypoluxo Island estate section.
What buyers should know
- The corridor is two markets, not one. Streets east of Dixie Highway and anything on or near the water price very differently from the western sections. The condition spread in the older cottage stock is wide, so inspections and an insurance quote belong early in the process, not at the end.
- Roof age and insurance drive the monthly cost here more than list price does. Much of the housing stock predates current building code, and the difference between a recent roof and a fifteen-year-old one can move the monthly number more than a $25,000 price difference.
- Condominium buyers have extra homework in this corridor. The older low-rise stock is exactly the segment covered by Florida's post-Surfside inspection law and by the current project standards lenders apply, and a share of it trades cash only in practice. Read the companion explainer: what the missing milestone inspections mean for buyers.
- Flood zones are street by street. Portions of both towns sit in AE zones. A FEMA map lookup for the specific address belongs in the offer decision.
- New supply is arriving downtown and west of the city. What is approved and under construction — the K Street garage, the museum-and-apartments campus, Lake Worth Station, the Gulfstream Hotel and GL Homes' project on the closed Falls course — is set out on the companion page: the Lake Worth Beach development pipeline.

What sellers should know
Houses in both towns are selling in weeks and at 97% to 98% of asking price; condominiums are not, and the gap between the two has widened since 2025. That means the pricing conversation is completely different depending on which one you own, and a number pulled from an automated website will not know the difference. Frequently asked questions
Is Lake Worth the same as Lake Worth Beach?
The city renamed itself Lake Worth Beach in 2019. "Lake Worth" now formally refers to the unincorporated area west of the city and to the Lake Worth Lagoon. Listings and portals still use both names, and the MLS area used on this page covers the city and the unincorporated area.
What is the median home price in Lake Worth Beach?
For January 1 through July 31, 2026: houses sold at a median of $560,000 across 730 sales, and condominiums and townhouses at a median of $200,000 across 311 sales. The two are never combined. Source: BeachesMLS, retrieved August 22, 2026.
How long does it take to sell a house in Lantana?
Houses that sold in July 2026 took a median of 14 days, and 17 days across the year to date. Condominiums and townhouses took a median of 88 days in July and 64 days year to date.
Can you still buy near the beach in Palm Beach County under the county median here?
In pockets, yes — Lantana's year-to-date median house price of $492,500 and Lake Worth Beach's $560,000 both sit below the county-wide figure. The trade-off is condition, roof age and insurance cost, and in condominium buildings the association's inspection and reserve position. No price outcome is promised.
How far is Lake Worth Beach from West Palm Beach and Boca Raton?
About seven miles south of downtown West Palm Beach and about twenty miles north of Boca Raton, with Tri-Rail and Interstate 95 access from both towns.
Is a condominium in this corridor harder to finance?
It can be. Lenders review the project as well as the borrower, and older buildings with open structural findings, weak reserves or missing documents can fall out of eligibility, which is why part of this stock trades cash only. Ask the lender to review the project early.
