Things to do in Boca Raton Florida

Boca Raton packs its best free attractions into a short stretch of coast - South Inlet Park, Red Reef Park and the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center - with Mizner Park and the Boca Raton Museum of Art a few minutes inland.

Whether you’re relocating to Boca Raton alone or moving to Boca Raton with a family, you need a helpful resource of information about fun activities and places to go. Live music and Dining

Sitting outdoors listening to live music and enjoying the cool breeze straight off the Atlantic Ocean sounds like a dream to most people. But here in Boca Raton, this is a reality that can be enjoyed year-round! There is no shortage of delicious restaurants and hot bars where live music is played, sometimes even every night. One of the most popular places for this is Mizner Park in downtown Boca Raton. There you can find a selection of shopping, dining, bars, and great live music every weekend. Conveniently, the Boca Raton Museum of Art is located right in Mizner Park; complete with an amphitheater that houses many concert events throughout the year.

Another one of our favorite restaurants is Seasons 52, centrally located off of Glades Road. This is a perfect choice for a date night or special event. The eatery is health conscious and seasonally fresh, so the menu is always changing with delicious options!

Right down the street on Glades Road, you’ll find the Town Center Mall shopping plaza with a large variety of dining and of course shopping options. A few of the choices for you and your family to eat are: The Cheesecake Factory, The Capital Grille, Legal Seafoods, Blue Martini, California Pizza Kitchen, and Grand Lux Café. All of these are a great place to relax after a day of shopping!

Some of the local favorites are Chipotle Mexican Grill, PF Chang’s, and Brewzzi. Three of the best local restaurants that everyone must sample while in Boca Raton are Las Fajitas, Tucci’s Pizzeria and Mississippi Sweet BBQ Company.

Family Activities, Beaches, and Parks

South Florida is famous for its beautiful beaches and waterfront property. Boca Raton is no exception! Here you’ll find plenty of picturesque beaches to choose from. Also, there are a lot of recreational parks for you and your family to enjoy. Red Reef Park is one of our personal favorites; it even has its own waterfront golf course! Most parks with beach access have covered picnic areas and bathrooms on site for your convenience, it makes taking little ones to the beach a breeze. One great family activity that isn’t too far away from Boca Raton is Lion Country Safari. Located in Loxahatchee, it’s a short drive, but well worth it. There, you drive through a safari in your own vehicle and get to see many animals walking around freely. It’s a great opportunity to teach children about animals. At the end of the safari drive, there is a small amusement park and even a chance to feed giraffes. This is a great family trip that is sure to make everyone happy!

St Andrews Golf and Country Club

Perhaps what South Florida, especially Boca Raton, is best known for is golf and tennis clubs. If you move into a country club neighborhood, of course you can enjoy a private course or court in your own back yard. But there are also many other public options for you to play on!
