Buying or Selling South Florida Property From Abroad: Israel and the United Kingdom
Selling or buying South Florida property from another country is routine when the steps that cannot be done remotely are planned first. PBP Real Estate works with two groups more than any other: families connected to Israel, whether selling a Florida home before or after Aliyah or buying in Miami-Dade and Broward from Israel, and British owners and buyers, for whom the words are the same and the process is not. Gia Freer and Grant Freer hold Israeli citizenship and divide their time between South Florida and Israel; Grant is a British citizen who grew up in London. The guides below are the conversations we have most often, written down.

Israel
- Selling your South Florida home before making Aliyah: the timeline, working backwards from the flight.
- Selling a Florida home from Israel: signatures, access, insurance, wires, and your tax status at closing.
- Rent out or sell after Aliyah: what changes once Florida is no longer your permanent residence.
United Kingdom
- UK vs Florida property terms: freehold and fee simple, exchange and under contract, solicitor and title agent, survey and inspection, stamp duty and doc stamps.
- Buying a second home in South Florida from the UK: how long you can stay, cash or foreign-national mortgage, insurance, condo checks, the exit.
- Selling a Florida home as a British owner: FIRPTA, remote closing, currency, the empty home.
What we do and do not do
PBP Real Estate, LLC is licensed in Florida and acts as a transaction broker, a defined role we explain in writing before any offer or listing. We do not advise on tax, immigration or foreign law; each guide names the questions to put to the right adviser. For property in Israel or the United Kingdom we introduce you to a licensed local broker, tell you plainly that we may receive a referral fee if you close, and take no part in that transaction.
If you own in South Florida, start with the number. Price my home correctly and we will come back within one business day with a hand-prepared opinion of value. Or call 561-395-8418.
These guides explain the real estate process and are not legal, tax or immigration advice.
Questions and answers
Do you work with buyers and sellers who are not in the United States?
Yes. Most of the steps in a Florida sale or purchase can be completed from abroad, and we plan the ones that cannot. We are licensed only in Florida and act as a transaction broker; for property in Israel or the UK we introduce you to a licensed local broker and step back.
Which counties do you cover?
Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie.
Do you give tax or immigration advice?
No. Our pages explain the real estate process and name the questions to put to a cross-border CPA, attorney or immigration adviser. We do not advise on FIRPTA, estate planning, visas or foreign tax.
