The community is only minutes away from the downtown area of Naples, Old Naples, and Naples Beach, providing residents with plenty of areas for shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor recreation. The homes in the community range from 1500 and 2000 square feet and most of them were constructed in the 1990s. The community amenities include a pools, clubhouse, and a playground area. There are two peaceful lakes in the community and most homes have beautiful views of them.

Maplewood is one of Jupiter's larger single-family communities, built from the late 1980s with a further phase around 2001. The homes are typically three bedrooms and two bathrooms in just under 2,000 square feet with a two-car garage, mostly single story, in traditional, ranch, colonial and Key West styles. About half have a private pool.
The setting is northern Palm Beach County suburban: a hospital and a golf course are each within a mile and a half, a marina is a little over two miles away and the beach is three miles east. Six parks, four playgrounds and eight tennis courts sit within a mile. The homeowners association fee is modest.
