What a local would tell you
Jupiter is three markets sharing one town name, and confusing them is the most expensive mistake a seller here makes. The riverfront and beachside blocks east of US-1 trade on water access and proximity to the inlet. Abacoa, the new-urbanist grid built around Roger Dean Stadium, trades on walkability and a much newer housing stock. The golf and country club communities west of the Turnpike trade on the club, and their prices move with membership economics rather than with the beach.
The Loxahatchee is a working river for owners here, not scenery. Dockage, fixed-bridge clearance and the route out through the Jupiter Inlet separate otherwise comparable houses by a wide margin, and the difference between river access and true ocean access is a pricing fact rather than a marketing line. It is the first thing we check on any waterfront address in the 33477 and 33469 ZIP codes.
The employment base is unusually research-heavy for a beach town: Jupiter Medical Center, the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and the Florida Atlantic University Jupiter campus all sit within a few miles of each other, which is part of why the buyer pool here holds up better than in purely seasonal markets.
Getting around
Jupiter has I-95 and Florida's Turnpike access at Indiantown Road, with Palm Beach International Airport about 30 minutes south and the nearest Brightline station in West Palm Beach. There is no rail station in Jupiter itself.
Taxes and assessments
Millage is 2.3894 mills for the Town of Jupiter in fiscal 2026, held flat from the prior year per the town's own budget summary, plus Palm Beach County, school district and special-district millage on top. Special-district and non-ad valorem assessments are billed on top of that and vary by community, so the only number worth relying on is the actual bill for the actual address. Ask us and we will pull it before you write an offer. This is general information, not tax advice.
Buying here while selling somewhere else
Most people relocating to Jupiter have a home to sell first, and the order you do it in decides your negotiating position on both ends. That is the part we are genuinely useful for. See the Jupiter market report for the current figures, and what living here is actually like.
What a website will never know about your Jupiter home
No automated estimate can read a renovation, a lot line, dock access or the condition of a roof. Gia Freer, our Broker of Record, prepares a written opinion of value by hand from recent Jupiter sales, and sends you the sales she used so you can check her work.
Selling first and buying here second? Tell us both sides and we will sequence them with you rather than guessing.

Moving to Jupiter: questions and answers
How much does a house cost in Jupiter?
The median single-family house closed at $1,075,000 so far this year across 743 sales, and 243 houses are on the market at a median asking price of $1,599,000. Condos and townhomes are a separate market and are reported separately.
What are property taxes like in Jupiter?
Millage is 2.3894 mills for the Town of Jupiter in fiscal 2026, held flat from the prior year per the town's own budget summary, plus Palm Beach County, school district and special-district millage on top. Non-ad valorem assessments for special districts are billed on top of ad valorem taxes, so ask for the actual tax bill on any address rather than working from a rate. This is general information, not tax advice.
Which part of Jupiter should I look in?
It depends on what you are buying. East of US-1 is water access and older, smaller lots; Abacoa is newer and walkable around Roger Dean Stadium; west of the Turnpike is golf and country club living. The three do not move together in price, and we report them that way rather than quoting one Jupiter median.
Is Jupiter more expensive than the rest of Palm Beach County?
It is one of the higher-priced markets in the county, and the spread inside the town is wide. The figures on this page are the whole-town medians for houses and for condos separately; ask us for the numbers on the specific district you are considering.
