Lake Park Real Estate

Lake Park was founded in the 1920s as Kelsey City, the first planned community in Palm Beach County, laid out by Harry Kelsey with Olmsted Brothers involvement in the street plan. It renamed itself Lake Park in 1939. The town sits on the Intracoastal north of West Palm Beach, and its marina and boatyards are a working part of the local economy rather than a lifestyle amenity.

The housing stock is largely small mid-century houses on modest lots, alongside a condominium inventory that includes some Intracoastal and marina-front buildings.

What is selling

Four houses and three condominiums sold in Lake Park in July 2026, too few in either category for a monthly median. Across the year to date, 22 houses have sold at a median of $493,000 and 34 condominiums at a median of $327,500. There were eight houses and 56 condominiums on the market at the end of July, with nine houses and 13 condominiums under contract.

Eight houses available against roughly two or three sales a month is a tight house market; 56 condominiums against three sales is not. The two halves of this town are running in opposite directions, and an owner should know which one they are in. Figures come from the BeachesMLS feed for July 2026 and for January 1 through July 31, 2026.

Schools

Lake Park is served by Palm Beach County School District, with homes here assigned largely to Lake Park Elementary, Howell L. Watkins Middle School and Palm Beach Gardens High School. Confirm current assignment with the district.

Getting around

Loggerhead Marina in Riviera Beach is about a mile away, the beach roughly 1.3 miles, and the Mangonia Park rail station about three miles south. Interstate 95, US 1 and Northlake Boulevard carry the traffic, and Palm Beach International Airport is about 20 minutes south.

Working with us in Lake Park

Prices here are strongly affected by what is happening immediately around a property, and the town has seen steady reinvestment along the marina and downtown. Two houses three streets apart can be a hundred thousand dollars apart for reasons that have nothing to do with the houses.

Lake Park sits on the Intracoastal in northern Palm Beach County, between Riviera Beach and North Palm Beach. It is the most mixed housing stock in the area we cover: condominiums make up the largest share of what trades, followed by single-family houses, with a small number of townhouses and villas. The build range is wide, from the late 1950s through to new construction completed this year, and the typical home is two bedrooms and two bathrooms in around 1,400 square feet. Ranch, traditional, contemporary and colonial exteriors all appear.

A marina is barely a mile away and the beach is a little over a mile east, with five parks, two libraries and eighteen bus stops within a mile. Association fees vary widely because the stock does - a waterfront condominium and a single-family house here are two different markets, and the report below separates them.
