Tequesta Real Estate
Tequesta is a village of roughly 5,900 people at the very top of Palm Beach County, incorporated in 1957 and set on the Loxahatchee River where it meets the Jupiter Inlet. Martin County begins immediately to the north. The village is built around the water: the river, its canals and the Intracoastal set the value of most streets here, and a dock or navigable access is usually the single largest factor in a price.
Inventory is small in both categories, so we report each property type separately and suppress any figure computed from too few sales rather than publishing something a single transaction could distort.
What is selling
Houses have sold at a median of $993,000 year to date across 41 sales, at $517 per square foot, in a median of 36 days and at 95% of the last asking price. Two closed in July 2026, too few for a monthly median. Seventeen were on the market at the end of July with 16 already under contract — essentially one pending sale for every listing, which is a tight market by any reading.
Condominiums and townhouses have sold at a median of $420,000 year to date across 59 sales, at $325 per square foot, in a median of 67 days and at 95% of asking. Thirty-four were available at the end of July against 12 under contract. Both figures are up on the same period last year, when the condominium median was $360,000, so this is a segment that has been gaining rather than drifting.
Figures come from the BeachesMLS feed for July 2026 and for January 1 through July 31, 2026. The county picture is in our Palm Beach County market report.
What actually decides a Tequesta sale
Water access is the first question and it is more specific than it sounds: fixed bridges, canal width, dock permitting and depth at low tide all decide what kind of boat a buyer can actually keep, and therefore what they will pay. Beyond the water, this is an older housing stock than the Jupiter developments to the south, so roof age, impact openings and insurance history carry real weight in a negotiation. Condominium buyers face the same milestone inspection and reserve questions as the rest of the coast.
Working with us in Tequesta
Gia Freer, our Broker of Record, has been licensed in Florida since 2000. PBP Real Estate is a transaction broker and we handle probate and estate sales, short sales and relocation in house. We also work across the Martin County line, so a move a few miles north does not mean starting again with another brokerage.
Tell us the address and we will read the sales that genuinely compare to it — waterfront against waterfront, interior against interior — and give you a written opinion of value. No automated estimate is published on this site. See every Tequesta listing in the MLS, not only ours.
Tequesta market snapshot — July 2026
Figures below come from our own BeachesMLS broker data feed, not a third-party estimate. Single-family homes and condos/townhomes are reported separately because they behave differently — blending them produces a number that describes neither. Every figure shows the number of listings behind it.
